ECU Alerts for ECU Students, Staff, and Faculty

Cell phone registration is voluntary. There is no charge from ECU for this service; however, if your cell phone plan includes a fee for receiving text messages, you agree to incur this charge by registering. No advertising is sent through the ECU Alert System.

Students, staff and faculty may register your cell phone or change your cell phone number to receive ECU Alert text messages HERE. Login with your PirateID and passphrase. Once registered, you may discontinue the ECU Alert text service at any time by replying “STOP” to a text message.

Download ECU Alert On Your Computer

You may install the “Alertus” application on your personal computers which will open ECU Alert messages as pop-ups on your computer screen. Download the software at ECU’s Download Center.

Unsubscribe From ECU Alert

Whether you are graduating or leaving the University, we are sad to see you go!

If you have any issues with your ECU Alert account, please email us at ecualertinfo@ecu.edu.

If you are currently receiving ECU Alert text messages and wish to have them stopped, please follow these instructions:

1. Click on the “ECU Faculty, Staff and Student Registration” link in the sidebar.
2. Log into the system with your ECU credentials.
3. Click the delete (red) button beside your cell phone number.
4. Follow the confirmation prompts.

Or you could text the word STOP to the last ECU Alert message you received to unsubscribe to text messages (do not include signature or punctuation).

Note:  You will continue to receive ECU Alert emails until your email account is pulled from Banner (i.e. when you leave the University).
